KEYNOTE SPEAKER

David A. Levy
David A. Levy is a renowned economist,
author, and former hedge fund manager.
He is chairman of the Jerome Levy
Forecasting Center, an economic research
and consulting firm that serves hedge
funds and other elite financial and
nonfinancial clients and publishes the oldest U.S. newsletter devoted to
economic analysis. Using a unique,
financially-oriented model for
forecasting and analyzing the economy –
the Profits Perspective – he has built
an impressive track record over 30
years, with his forecasts resulting on
multiple occasions in extraordinary
gains for clients and investors.
In the latest business cycle, Levy’s
forecasts for a severe collapse of
profits and a financial meltdown led to
large gains for investors in the Levy
Forecast Fund. Another of Levy’s
triumphs was forecasting (and coining
the term) “the contained depression” of
the early 1990s.
Levy has given briefings, consultations,
and testimony to members of Congress,
administration officials, and Federal
Reserve governors. He was appointed by
President Clinton to the Commission to
Study Capital Budgeting in 1997 and was
also selected for the federal
government’s Competitive Policy Council
Infrastructure Subcouncil.
Levy is frequently quoted in the press
and regularly appears on major
television networks. He is the author of
many articles and the coauthor, with S
Jay Levy, of “Profits and the Future of
American Society,” published by
HarperCollins. He graduated from
Williams College Phi Beta Kappa with a
B.A. in mathematics and received an
M.B.A. from the Columbia University
School of Business.

PLEASE NOTE: The original keynote
speaker David Zervos is unable to
participate due to scheduling conflicts,
and has been replaced with David A.
Levy.
HFA is not responsible for any travel
costs in the case of an event
cancellation.
