Robert Picard
Managing Director, Lyxor Asset
Management
Prior to joining Lyxor in 2010, Mr. Picard was Senior Advisor to
Navigant Consulting’s Financial Institutions Restructuring Solutions
Team (FIRST) and active in advising emerging hedge fund managers.
Earlier, he was Chief Investment Officer and Head of Research at Optima
Fund Management overseeing 6.5 Billion of hedge fund investments. Prior
to joining Optima, Mr. Picard was a Managing Director at The Carlyle
Group where he built and managed the process and portfolio of an
innovative hedge fund business that provided a platform for
institutions investing in alternative investments. Prior to Carlyle,
Mr. Picard was Managing Director at RBC Capital Risk Advisors, European
Manager for Structured Equity Products for RBC Dominion Securities
Inc., European Product Manager for Global Equity Derivatives for
Kidder, Peabody in Europe and earlier worked for Bank Nomura (Suisse)
S.A. Mr. Picard graduated from College de Geneve and attended the
University of Geneva School of Law. Mr. Picard speaks English, French
and German.

Ron S. Geffner
Partner, Sadis and Goldberg LLP
Vice President, Hedge Fund Association
Overseeing the Financial Services
Group, Ron Geffner regularly structures, organizes and counsels private
investment vehicles, investment advisory organizations, broker-dealers,
commodity pool operators and other investment fiduciaries. His broad
background with federal and state securities laws and the rules and
regulations of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority of Security
Dealers, Commodities Futures Trading Commission and various other
regulatory bodies enables him to provide strategic guidance to a
diverse clientele. He provides legal services to hundreds of hedge
funds and private equity funds organized in the U.S. and offshore. Mr.
Geffner began his legal career with the SEC, where he investigated and
prosecuted violations of the federal securities laws. Mr. Geffner
is often interviewed as a legal expert in the securities industry and
has been interviewed on Fox News, CBS Morning Show, CBS Evening News
with Dan Rather, Squawk Box and Power Lunch on CNBC, British
Broadcasting Channel and Bloomberg Radio. He is regularly quoted in The

Andrew Saunders
Head of Capital Introduction, Direct Access Partners
Andrew Saunders is the Head of Capital
Introduction and a member of the Capital Alternatives Group at Direct
Access Partners. Prior to Direct Access Partners, Mr. Saunders held a
similar role at EFX Prime Services, the prime brokerage business of
First New York Securities. Before EFX Prime Services, Mr. Saunders was
a Managing Director at Hedge Connection. His leadership
responsibilities included business development, client relations,
investor liaison, media relations and strategic partnerships. Mr.
Saunders began his career on Wall Street was with Taylor Rafferty, a
boutique cross-border investor relations firm. During his 7-year
tenure, he assisted senior management implement all aspects of their
investor relations programs including: corporate strategy development,
IPO/Secondary road shows, media relations, and led 12 ADR listings
& IPOs on the NYSE and NASDAQ. Mr. Saunders holds the Series 7 and
63 licenses, the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst designation
(CAIA) and is an officer of the CAIA NY Chapter. Prior to entering the
financial services industry, Mr. Saunders spent four years in Malaysia
and Indonesia as a teacher and entrepreneur.

David Friedland
President, Magnum U.S. Investments
President, Hedge Fund Association
David R. Friedland is
President of Magnum U.S. Investments, Inc., which serves as a
consultant to a number of funds of funds and hedge funds, as well as a
number of banks and institutions. Magnum tracks, evaluates and combines
hedge funds into a variety of funds of hedge funds to meet specific
risk/return criteria for high net worth individuals and institutional
clients. Magnum has also sponsored several single manager hedge funds
covering a range of different strategies. David is the president of the
general partner of the Magnum funds of hedge funds, and
Magnum-sponsored single manager hedge funds available to U.S. taxable
investors. Magnum has been managing funds of hedge funds since 1994.
David, who heads up new business development and the legal department
at Magnum, is a frequent speaker at financial and hedge fund
conferences around the world. He has authored several articles on hedge
funds, and has made several appearances on CNBC. David is also the
President of the Hedge Fund Association, a not-for-profit international
group of industry professionals with a mission to provide a forum for
thought leaders, innovators, practitioners and investors who are
shaping the way business is conducted in the global hedge fund
industry. David received a BBA in Finance cum laude and a JD (law
degree) magna cum laude from the University of Miami, and is a member
of the Florida Bar. He also holds his Series 7 brokerage license.

Sal (Kislay) Shah

Services Group, McGladrey & Pullen, LLP
Sal (Kislay) Shah is a Partner in the
New York office of McGladrey & Pullen, LLP and the co-leader of the
office’s Financial Services Practice. He brings over 20 years of
experience in the financial services industry to his engagements. Prior
to joining McGladrey, he served for 14 years with a Big Four accounting
firm, working on major alternative investment services engagements. Sal
has provided advisory and assurance services to investment management
companies, including hedge funds, private equity firms, venture capital
funds, fund of funds, mutual funds, collateral debt obligation funds
and mortgage-backed assets trading and securitization companies. His
advises companies that manage up to $6 billion in assets, and
representative clients include Bam Capital Management, Rosegrove
Capital Partners, American Securities Capital Partners, Psilos, Euclid
SR, Kinderhook, HIG Brightpoint, Cornerstone, Jacobson Partners and
Dolphin Private Equity Partners. Sal is a frequent speaker at industry
events on topics such as FAS 157, Small Business Investment Companies
(SBICs), and asset-backed lending and is also a resource to many trade
and industry publications. Sal is also editor-in-chief of McGladrey’s
Alternative Investment Watch, a quarterly newsletter of developments in
finance for alternative investment providers.
